Let the journey find you

My family tried to do one vacation a year during the summer. But the only one I actually remember is our big troad trip to the Capitol and Washington D.C. It was such a memorable trip because we did so much - the presidential monuments, capital, Mount Vernon, Monticello, and more. What an experience it was as a child!

It wasn't until my divorce in 2015 that I regularly started traveling, though. It was such a bad and low point in my life that I needed out of the house. I needed to escape my life. So, my dog and I would pile into the truck and just take off. I had no destination in mind and we just drove around until it started getting dark.

After a while, we began walking, running, and then hiking. My dog and I both found a love and passion for hiking in California's coastal Redwoods! From this point on, we began traveling just to hike. Little did I know, but the love for traveling and experiencing the world had created a spark in me.

When I separated from the military, my dog and I moved back home to Batesville, Arkansas. Over the years, it has been a struggle with my family. I had health problems and then my mom became disabled and my dependent. All I want for my mom is for her to live her best life and go out stronger than she came in. I knew she loved to travel and has always wanted to see the world, so one day we just started! Arkansas has a State Park Passport program that we participated in, propelling us to travel outside our state.

My mom, dog, and me are a team. All three of us love exploring our world and experiencing life. I've been creating experiences for people for many years. I am expanding my "creating" (as a good friend calls it) through the travel industry. Not only am I very excited about this journey, but I cannot wait to see what God does with this venture!
